OPINION
In a world of free things nothing is free have you ever
thought to yourself? And now since everything has a price tag how worthy is
your opinion in the modern world then? Man is an animal, a social creature de facto,
but what is it that makes him see his own independent value noble from the rest
of his race? Could we assume that stratification is some normal order of the
universe we live in? It’s not only among man that exists ranks but in the whole
of the animal kingdom from bees, mites to even lions with each set of class or
rank performing a specific role or task in most cases. In business terms we may
term it as specialization.
As far as history can take us through books we get to learn
of the partisan nature of man and his organization ethnographically. At no point have we ever seen man rely on his
self solely. He hunted in groups and lived in caves as family. It is this group
politics (affair) that has led to development of society and advancement of
social structures that bind and tie him down to a race or socio-economic group
in this current century. It is however appalling that as society advances man
is gaining greater consciousness and is pulling out. So what is this that
pulled us together that’s now repelling us apart? Man is indeed a strange
creature, he wants in but out.
Even though much may not have been captured by history I
still consider this as one of the best era of humankind. It indeed is the age
of enlightenment after the dark ages of religion. I may not be certain of the
existence of superior advanced civilizations before what we are currently
experiencing, however, I think that we should be doing better than we are
currently in terms of association. Ancient history speaks of folks belonging to
certain classes from slaves to kings and in between a middle class. This gives
us an impression that society was hinged on some kind of economic, political or
religious axis that it revolved on. This
means that individuals were born into some preconceived status in society that
would determine the self-value of these individuals. A child born to a royal
family meant that in no way could they congregate with slaves or paupers freely,
same as those from priesthood who are seen as to have influence than those of
blacksmiths and land tillers.
One question that eludes my mind is how are such sociopolitical,
economic and religious organizations necessary in the advancement of humanity
as a race in this century marred with confusion? Are they going to bring so
many tongues to be one? One thing that fascinates me is how man, such an
intelligent animal of the high order that still needs to be controlled by a shitty
government, a noisy church bell, the ugly voice of a muezzin or a paper bill.
With all the intelligence bestowed in him he still needs to be told how and
when to: sit, walk, stop, stand, hush, sleep, what to believe and how to live.
In his expensive suit and all his luxuries you can’t imagine he has no
choice or voice when he confidently drives in the suburbs to his posh
castle which he retreats to find “solace”. The chip is here we really
want to know who you are trust me you are escaping to nowhere it’s better to watch
what you do or say and we might want to know what you think too. We have your
social credit score; hush and watch your ways take the jab or forget the flight
but remember to keep the rants to yourself if at all you want peace then mind
your piece of mind.
Everyone matters irrespective of all other factors be it
color, gender, age, economic religious geopolitical or whatever box we have
enclosed our voices in and for a fact everyone deserves to be heard. The big
question remains whose opinion is best, whose first or
whose really matters? Opinions are not pickles don’t enclose yours in a
jar but remember they are like assholes and none thinks theirs stinks.
Regardless of status and background do you think yours is too worthy now? Just
don’t forget opinion is priceless but may get you a price tag on your head or
take you to places you never imagined.
